Can a dog walker or sitter use it without seeing our family's private details?
Yes. A linked trainer or walker sees the training plan and, only if you choose to share it, the care log — never your household's other private details. Access is scoped to what they need, and you can turn sharing off at any time.
What is a release word and why does the app ask for one?
A release word clearly tells your dog when a command has ended and they're free to move. Hondly records it so every handler in the household uses the same word.
How long does each training session take?
Most sessions are a single short exercise — a few minutes, a handful of repetitions, one clear win. Hondly is built around short, calm sessions rather than long structured lessons, so it fits around a normal day.
Does it work for adult dogs or only puppies?
Both. The core training plan and household features work for any dog. Some curriculum tracks are tailored to breed group and life stage, including a herding-specific track, so the exercises fit the dog you actually have.
What happens to our training history if we stop using it?
Your training history stays available while your account is active — Hondly doesn't remove old sessions just because you stop logging new ones. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time; see our Privacy policy for how.
Is Hondly free?
Yes, Hondly is free while it's in beta. If that changes in future, we'll say so clearly here before it does — nothing changes without notice.
